Planned changes to rules about working children will mean under-18s could soon be able to work in nightclubs.
The Department of Education and Children will ask Tynwald to approve the new guidelines later this month.
As well as allowing 16 to 18-year-olds to work in nightspots, the rules will also up the age youngsters can begin work.
Currently, 15-year-olds are allowed jobs other than light work - the proposals would see that age limit rise to 16.
