Just six per cent of children at a primary school in the west of the Island had reached a good level of development by the end of their reception year.
The figures have been released by Education Minister Graham Cregeen in response to a question for written answer in Tynwald this week.
Top of the class was Dhoon School, where teachers assessed more than 87 per cent of children positively in maths, literacy and personal development.
However, at the bottom of the table was St John's School where 6.7 per cent of children reached achieved the required standard.
