Professor Brian Cox says he was amazed to learn of Island\'s involvement in Space Industry
Over a thousand school pupils from around the Island piled into the Villa Marina this morning for a science lesson with a difference.
The difference being their teacher was TV personality Professor Brian Cox, host of the hugely popular Wonders of the Universe series.
He took them through some of the basics of particle physics also talking about his involvement in the Large Hadron Collider project in Geneva.
Brian was a guest at yesterday's Tynwald ceremony along with the NASA team who crewed the Discovery's historic final space mission.
He said he was amazed when he discovered the extent of the Isle of Man's involvement in the Space Industry and it was a key factor in him wanting to pay his first visit.
