Scientists discover giant deer is 14,500 years old

Scientists have concluded a giant deer housed at the Manx Museum is 14,500 years old. 

They've been carbon dating the skeleton with Manx National Heritage over the past few years. 
 
The Manx team sent samples from the bones over to scientists in Oxford - who determined the deer might have lived before there were even the earliest signs of humans on the Island.
