Smokers to be hit in the pockets following Autumn Statement

The price of cigarettes and rolling tobacco on Island has jumped significantly as a result of this weeks Autumn Statement from Westminster.

The duty on tobacco increased, whereas it was frozen for fuel and alcohol for the forseable future.

Elsewhere we're set to increase the state pension by 8.5%

Cigarette's will increase by 66p per packet, with rolling tobacco going up by over £2.00 - Minister Allinson says it's down to the fact we have a shared duty with the UK.
