There's been numerous developments in the proposed Southern Area Plan, which the Infrastructure Minister tells 3FM will be to the benefit of everyone.
David Cretney outlined the current state of affairs with regards to the proposals and what he expects will happen over the coming months.
In the comprehensive report the Inspector was supportive of the proposed locations for development sites as well as the Department's resistance to out of town retailing.
The report recommends a better use of density on allocated sites, and further consideration towards the design and implementation of a new Ballasalla bypass.
With the inspector's report now published, Mr Cretney said that his department is now moving towards the final stages of the process.
