Douglas could get a ‘Speaker’s Corner’ as part of further efforts to rejuvenate the town centre.
The Douglas Development Partnership is looking at establishing an area of the capital for people to use for public speaking and debate.
It is seen as the next step in the transformation of the town which is currently undergoing extensive development.
Organisations or individuals who would like to find out more about the plans have been asked to telephone 696305.
