Sports hall plans in Ramsey resubmitted

The first application submitted in September last year was refused following objections to its location.

 

After carrying out a review of 16 other potential areas the commissioners say the ideal location would be between the rugby pitch at Mooragh Promenade and Ramsey Park Hotel.

 

They've identified ways of reducing the height of the structure but say its diameter cannot be reduced as it will need to accommodate a regulation sized playing area.
