Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says the Stema Packet Company will submit its views on a £6 billion proposed tidal power project on the River Mersey.
He faced a question for written answer from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson about the project.
Dr Allinson said as a user of the River Mersey, the company will submit its views on the proposals.
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority wants to build turbines across the Mersey to generate power and began the formal planning process earlier this year.
