Study suggests Island needs budget hotel chain

The Isle of Man is losing out by not having a budget hotel chain.

That's the view of Hotel Solutions - the company which has undertaken a comprehensive review of the Island's hotel sector.

Chains including Premier Inn and Travelodge are reportedly interested in setting up here - Andrew Keeling conducted the study and admits it has caused some concern:

However he maintains that the budget option would be the most deliverable and "commercially viable" type of new hotel in the short term:
