A man’s been banned from contacting his ex-girlfriend after smashing a window at her home.
Shaun Robinson of Main Road in Sulby appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 44-year-old admitted criminal damage at The Threshold in Jurby on October 14.
The court heard Robinson had been in a relationship with the woman for three months but became upset when she didn’t contact him after returning from a holiday.
When he went to her home, he saw another man inside the house and smashed the window with his bare hands.
The motorhome mechanic, who represented himself in court, said he accepted he shouldn’t have gone to the house or smashed the window.
He was fined £700 and ordered to pay £125 costs as well as £194 compensation, and Mrs Hughes imposed a restraining order preventing him from contacting his victim or going to her address.
