The rules for people living alone or who are single parents 'teaming up' with another household will be extended to allow certain activities outdoors.
Government confirmed last week that anyone living on their own or who is a single-parent can form a 'bubble' with one other single household for emotional and practical support.
However, Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, announced this afternoon that from 12.01am on Wednesday (March 24) those who are connected in a bubble will be able to exercise outdoors together as well as car share.
Mr Quayle adds legal directions will be put in place and revised guidance will be issued tomorrow.
He's also reminded residents that every time households mix the risk of infection increases, and people should make the right decisions for themselves which could include social distancing and wearing face coverings.
