Surgeon hopes Breast Unit will prompt cancer screening

It's hoped the new £1.5 million breast unit will encourage women to be screened in the New Year:

That's consultant oncoplastic surgeon Millie Bello - who's been leading a campaign to privately fund the facility.

3,000 breast patients routinely attended Noble's Hospital for appointments in 2014 - which prompted the build.

It's on track to open in January and is now being equipped for use - Millie hopes it will inspire women, particularly those over 50, to be mindful:
