An Onchan man's applied for permission to transform a bedroom at his home into a tattoo studio.
Peter Nolan, of Royal Avenue West, says he works full-time and so only needs the studio for evenings and days off.
Mr Nolan says the studio, if approved, would cater for one private client at a time by appointment.
And he adds planning permission for his business is the final step before he can be given a license to tattoo.
