A teenager who tried to post £4,300 to the UK will be sentenced in a Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Samuel Morris of Park Avenue in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to a single charge of attempting to remove criminal property from the Island on September 17.
The court heard the 17 year old had posted a stereo to an address in Ellesmere Port in Cheshire - but when it was X-rayed by postal staff, they discovered a suspicious bundle inside.
When it was opened, police officers discovered thousands of pounds in Manx and UK banknotes and Morris later told police he’d been asked to send the parcel but had never received a promised payment.
Magistrates bailed him in the sum of £500 and committed him for sentencing in the higher court.
