More than 3,000 Manx households couldn't afford to heat their homes the last time figures were collected.
In Tynwald this week Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper asked Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas many households are living in fuel poverty.
In response, Mr Thomas revealed the last figures, from 2015, showed 3,100 households met the government's definition.
He said the results will be updated when a household finances survey takes place later this year.
