The Treasury Minister has confirmed his department has given the approval needed to progress works with the Mannin Cancer Centre.
The team behind the centre had hoped work could commence over the summer, it's now hoped the essential tree clearance can happen in January, before an 8 month bat and bird preservation order takes hold preventing it.
Treasury needed to agree to an exemption on the necessary requirements and financial regulations before a 99 year lease could be granted.
