Firefighters were called to a tumble dryer blaze on the day household fire safety was discussed on the House of Keys.
Ramsey fire crews were called out at 10.30pm on Tuesday to a house in Ellan Park after a tumble dryer caught fire.
The blaze was confined to the garage and officers spent an hour at the scene putting it out.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse had asked Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey how many fires have been caused by domestic appliances earlier that day.
