Firefighters say crews were called to a building in Douglas when a fire broke out in a bedroom.
The incident happened on Peel Road just after 4pm.
Crews fought the blaze on the ground floor and searched smoke-logged floors above to help two people escape the building.
Both were treated by the Isle of Man Ambulance service for smoke inhalation but were otherwise unharmed.
