    Tynwald Approve Claddagh Campsite Byelaws

Government and Police Pledge To Clamp Down on Anti-Social Behaviour in Claddaghs Camp Site

Tynwald have now approved the new Sulby Claddagh byelaws, which will lead to a number of changes at the site especially popular with Tourists throughout the Summer Months.

From now on there will be a definitive start date for camping in the area, and that has been set at the first of May, with the exception of Easter Weekends.

The camping area has been reduced in size to make way for other activities in the area, such as a riverside recreational zone, overnight parking has also been banned as has the use of generators between 10.30pm and 7.30am.

The changes have been introduced in an effort to please locals who have in the past complained about noise and general social disorder.

Inspector Derek Flint has said neither the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team nor the Department of Environment will tolerate anything that detracts from the peace and tranquillity of the Claddaghs.
