Tynwald will consider plans to drastically reduce the amount of plastic used across Government.
Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot will present the plans in the hopes to end unnecessary use by January 2021.
The plans include an immediate action plan, a number of changes would be made if given the green light, including prohibiting some departments releasing balloons.
Items such as straws, plates, cotton buds and cutlery would also be banned across Government by January 2021.
