University College Isle of Man has brought back 'calm areas' for students before exams.
These areas provide students with a comfortable space to mentally prepare before entering the exam room, and include relaxed seating, calming music, and mindfulness activities.
Jamie Wight, one of UCM's Student Welfare Officers, says the calm areas aim to move students from panic into a more constructive level of readiness, which improves performance.
This year the calm areas will be available for students sitting large written exams from May 3 to June 10.
