Two UK politicians have accused the Isle of Man of playing a pivotal role in helping to hide dirty money.
Labour's Dame Margaret Hodge and the Conservative MP Andrew Mitchell say that crown dependencies like the Isle of Man assist tax dodgers and 'crooks'.
In The Guardian the duo accused the Island of reneging on a promise to introduce public registers by December last year.
The Isle of Man government says in response it remains committed to preventing criminals launder or hide cash on the Island.
