Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says a 60 per cent rise in the price of citizenship certificates was forced on us by the UK.
He faced a question for written answer from Douglas North MHK David Ashford about the price of replacement certificates.
Dr Allinson said they'd gone up from £250 to £400 in July.
He explained the prices had to be the same as the UK's under a longstanding agreement, and the cost hadn't gone up since 2018.
