Unemployment levels continue to rise on the Island

Unemployment was on the rise again over July.

The figure now stands at 2,1% of the economically active population after the figures rose by 44.

During the month 247 signed on and 203 signed off, of the total unemployed 633 are males and 257 females.

A total of 575 vacancies were notified to the Job Centre during the month and at the end of July 306 positions were still vacant and held on file.
