There was just over 1,000 people unemployed on the Island at the end of 2012.
New figures show that the unemployment rate stood at 2.3 per cent with 1020 people out of work.
That's six more people than in November last year.
During last month 162 signed on and 156 signed off and of the total unemployed 741 are men and 279 are women.
A total of 220 vacancies were notified to the Job Centre during the month and by January 113 positions were still vacant and held on file.
