Unmarked police bikes 'out in force' during Festival of Motorcycling

Unmarked police bikes will be out in force during the Festival of Motorcycling in an effort to keep the Island's roads safe.

There will be a strong police presence with visitors and locals being asked to respect the roads, pay attention to speed limits and other motorists.

Sergeant Allan Thompson is head of the Roads Policing Unit - he says it's going to be busier:

Unlike the TT the Mountain Road will remain open in both directions - with more police vehicles on patrol.

He says those caught breaking the law will be dealt with robustly:
