Emergency services were launched into action after a van was swept down a river this weekend.
At around 5pm, Ramsey Fire Station and a water rescue team from Douglas raced to Garey Ford Road in Lezayre.
The driver was trapped inside the van before it stopped against a bridge.
Crews secured the vehicle using specialist equipment and the person was carried out of it using a stretcher - they were passed to paramedics and taken to hospital.
The rescue operation was complete within an hour and a half.
