Malew could get a new vets' surgery - if planners give proposals the green light.
Frances Edward Garnet-Ore of Ballastrang Farm on Douglas Road has applied for permission to convert part of a barn.
In his application, he says the plans would see it transformed from a learning centre to a veterinary clinic.
The facility would open from 9am to 6.30pm in the week and employ up to three people.
