    Victory for visually impaired after u-turn on crossings

    Plans to introduce new controlled crossings on Douglas Promenade will be integral in ensuring the Isle of Man is seen as an inclusive society.

    That's the message from the chairman of the Douglas Regeneration Committee who says he welcomes government's "change of heart".  
     
    Concerns had been raised that scrapping the official crossings would cause difficulties for blind and visually impaired people - David Cretney says that wasn't right:
