The Department of Infrastructure has applied to make changes to its hazardous waste facility in Braddan because wind is driving rain into the building.
In a planning application it says it wants to partially infill the gable ends of the facility which is next door to the energy from waste plant.
The department says it wants to cut the amount of rain that's being driven into the transfer station by the wind.
It says it's used on-site vehicle tracking to calculate how much coverage is needed.
