The government could be facing a £50,000 bill to repair historic buildings in Groudle Glen.
This week in the House of Keys, Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot faced a question from East Douglas MHK Claire Bettison about the glen's waterwheel.
Mr Boot said under a lease dating back to 1975, his department was responsible for maintaining the structure - but legal advice from the Attorney General's chambers said Onchan Commissioners, the building's owners, would be liable for structural work.
He said he hoped to resolve the disagreement soon:
