We will listen to public says Steam Packet

More competition, better deals and cheaper crossings - that's what people on the Island would like to see from improvements to the User Agreement.

Government has pledged to put the issues surrounding sea services out to public consultation.

The Steam Packet has responded saying it's developing a proposal and revised framework to guarantee services which benefit residents, visitors, businesses and the local economy.

It says it will take note of public feedback.

Passenger watchdog TravelWatch has welcomed the approach - our listeners have also been having their say.

Colin is calling for travelling to be fairer for consumers, Paul says the boats simply can't be filled outside of TT, which drives up the cost, and Shirley says it's about time something was done.
