The Manx Wildlife Trust is appealing for donations to help set up a seal rehab facility on the island.
The organisation said while it doesn't normally get involved in animal welfare, it felt compelled to take action.
The move would mean seals-especially pups- can be taken in for rehab when needed, until they are strong enough to return to the wild.
A spokesman said seal care can be expensive, with fish for one seal costing around £40 each week.
