Curraghs Wildlife Park donated over £3,500 towards the conservation of fishing cats.
The park's Conservation Fund supported the 'Urban Fishing Cat Project,' with money going towards genetic profiling, camera traps and other equipment to help monitor the species in Sri Lanka.
Since 2016, fishing cats have been listed as 'Vulnerable' on the IUCN Red List.
Learning how the cats use their habitat and sometimes even share areas with humans in a semi-urban environment, is key to understanding what conservation measures are needed to protect them.
The park took to social media to thank visitors and members for helping the park make a difference.
