The Island's Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning today.
The warning for coastal overtopping runs from 9.30am until 1.30pm.
Forecasters say gale force south-westerly winds and high spring tides will mean significant amounts of water and debris being washed onto exposed roads and promenades around high tide at 11.30am.
Most at risk are Castletown, Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey Promenades as well as Shore Road in Rushen.
