World champion says royal visit will put cycling on map

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Island as part of the Queen’s diamond jubilee tour where members of the royal family visit all of the Commonwealth realms. 

Despite a wet and windy day the royal couple carried out a number of engagements including visiting local food producers in Peel and a tour of the new Isle of Man Food Park. 

Charles and Camilla also watched a cycle race from the NSC in Douglas and met members of the Isle of Man Cycling Club.
