Body found in woodland in search for missing Marc Drostle

A body has been found in the search for a man who went missing in the Highlands before Christmas.

Mark Drostle is believed to have travelled from London to Aviemore on 12 December and was reported missing on 21 December.

There were several potential sightings between 19 and 24 December, but police were unable to trace the 28-year-old man.

Police Scotland said officers found a body on Thursday morning in a wooded area in Nethy Bridge, Strathspey - one of the areas where a sighting had been reported.

The location is about 11 miles northeast of Aviemore, in the Cairngorms National Park.

Mountain rescue teams helped with the recovery of the body.
