Police have issued a fresh appeal for information in the search for a missing man who disappeared in the Scottish Highlands one year ago.
John McGrath, then 52, was last seen in the John O'Groats area of Caithness at about 10am on Saturday 2 March 2024.
Despite extensive searches by Police Scotland, specialist resources and partner agencies, including HM Coastguard and the RNLI, there has been no trace of Mr McGrath.
Inspector Kay Macrae said: "It's been a year since John was last seen and despite efforts from police and partner agencies, we've not been able to trace him.
"It's vital we find out exactly what happened to John as we try to provide his family and friends with some answers."
Mr McGrath is around 5ft 10in tall and was slim with short grey hair when he vanished.
All those who were in the John O'Groats area when Mr McGrath went missing are being urged to "think back to that day".

Inspector Macrae added: "Do you remember seeing a man matching John's description?
"Do you happen to still have any dashcam or video footage of the area from that day which may have captured him?
"Anyone with information, who has not already spoken to police, is urged to call 101."
