An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman outside a northwest London church following a wake.
He was arrested on Wednesday and remains in custody, the Met Police said.
An investigation was launched after police were called to reports of a shooting in Gifford Road, Brent, where Michelle Sadio and others were standing outside a church following a wake, around 9.15pm on 14 December.
Ms Sadio, aged 44, was found suffering serious injuries and despite the efforts of the emergency services she was pronounced dead at the scene, officers said.
Police said two men, both aged in their 30s, also suffered injuries. One remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition; the other man has been discharged following treatment.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke, leading the investigation, said: "While this arrest marks a significant step forward in this investigation we continue to appeal for anyone with information about Michelle's murder to come forward and speak to us.
"This was senseless act of violence that resulted in an innocent woman being killed. Michelle's family continue to grieve and we are determined to ensure those responsible face the consequences of their actions."
He called on anyone who could assist with their inquiry to come forward.
